Elements in Heat – Introduction to Enameling
Sunday, March 6th from 9AM to 12 Noon
Add a new dimension to copper and silver without breaking your budget! Learn proper firing techniques to easily add color and design to metal. Students will create fun charms from copper and enamel for pendants, earrings, or bracelets. Additional materials and tools may be purchased from instructor.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate
Session: 3 hours
Max Class size: 16 (no one under 18 years of age)
Class fee: $79
Materials Fee (To be invoiced separately): $40
Enough copper shapes and elements to finish 5 pieces, copper jump rings, copper wire, chain. A variety of enamel colors and supplies will be provided to share.
Students are asked to bring:
Chain Nose pliers
Round nose pliers
5 Magazine pages (of any kind)
Magnifying glasses and Ott Light as Needed
Provided by Instructor:
Torches and firing tools to share (1 station for every 3 people)
Enamel tools and supplies to share
Metal files (not Diamond coated)
Two hole metal punches
